 I've spent the last month in STEM class we spent time thinking about who we were and the difference in fixed vs. growth mindsets. I realized that when it comes to school and work I have a growth mindset, however, in my personal life I have a sort of fixed mindset. Which I'm currently working on changing. The growth mindset allows me to want to learn for myself rather than just to pass a class and do well. It helps me to push myself in aspects without worry of what happens if I don't get a good grade.

 Having read the book, Mindset by Carol Dweck Ph.D., previously for myself and another class, i've had a lot of time to really dissect the growth mindset. I believe that I embody the growth mindset in nearly every aspect of my life.  Having a jump start on the growth mindset has allowed me to adventure out of my comfort zone and embrace trying new things without so many expectations to do well. When you accept learning as the goal instead of a particular grade in a class, I believe, you are able to absorb the information given to you better.
